As i mentioned in the previous post that for this session that we will discuss about people and food in Indonesian, because without knowing this one impossible we can start conversation with other people, either in manners of etiquette or with other person who is younger or older than us.
People
Talking about this one it has a lot of meaning that is supposed to some signification.
For example:
People, Society, Colony, Rate, Clan, Part, Ethnic Group, Folk, Populace, Nation, Humanity, Humankind, Kind and many others.
It is also called People.
But, For this session we will talk about People in generally.
People - Orang-orang (more than one or plural), some people said peoples 'orang-orang'
Person - Orang (singular)
A person - Seseorang (look!, se-seorang)
The example of sentences:
A large number of people attended the concert (Banyak orang menghadiri konser itu)
(banyak orang or sejumlah besar orang)
A - sebuah
Large - besar (it means besar or big) // small (kecil)
A large - sejumlah or we can say it more than one (many or banyak)
A few - sedikit
Some - beberapa
Some - beberapa
How many people did you interview? (Berapa banyak orang yang telah kamu wawancarai?)
How - Bagaimana
How many - Berapa banyak
How much - Berapa banyak
Did - telah
Telah (already finished or you did something)
You - Kamu (we have talked about this one in our first post)

We are going to start from the oldest to the youngest. OKAY!
Ancestor - Nenek Moyang (we say Nenek moyang for Ancestor or Forefather)
Grandfather - Kakek
Grandmother - Nenek
Father - Ayah /Bapak
(My Dad is my hero), Ayahku adalah Pahlawanku
(My book - Bukuku), (Myself -Diriku)
Mother - Ibu /Mama
Uncle - Paman
Aunt - Tante (hmm just remember the francais of Aunt)..similar to bahasa TANTE
Younger /Elder brother - Adik /Kakak Laki-laki
(younger - lebih mudah)
(Laki-laki, Man)
(Men, Para lelaki or para laki-laki) plural
We often say that a brother is seorang abang
Younger /Elder sister - Adik /Kakak Perempuan
(older brother - Abang /kakak lebih tua)
(sister is kakak)
(Girl /woman /women - Gadis /Wanita /Para wanita)
A sister is seorang kakak
Sibling - saudara
A sister is seorang kakak

But, in daily conversation we do not talk too difficult or to complicated). Generally, we say if she is a girl (enough to say wanita or perempuan)
Girl /Gadis. Usually, refers to under 18 years old or someone who is not married yet
Female /woman /feminine, Wanita

Cousin - Sepupu
for female and male just use Perempuan and Laki-Laki
Child - Anak
Children- Anak-anak
Kids - Anak-Anak

Niece - keponakan perempuan
